The power of robots drives our marketing system

To start off understanding robots, artificial intelligence is required to be known. AI is an area of computer science that emphasises the creation of intelligent machines that work and react like humans. This sector have increased significantly and contributed significantly in our marketing industry and business systems. The creation allowed marketing to be designed and delivered in a new way that engage with customer in the maximum potential and have most effective message delivered to the target audience. With analyst firm IDC predicting that the worldwide content analytics, discovery and cognitive systems software market will grow from $4.5 billion in 2014 to $9.2 billion in 2019. In fact, Accenture’s Technology Vision 2016—research that gathers input from more than 3,100 global business and IT executives—found that 70% of them are making significantly more investments in AI-related technologies than two years ago, with 55% planning to use machine learning and embedded artificial intelligence.

So what exactly are robots?

A robot is a programmable machine that physically interacts with the world around it and is capable of carrying out a complex series of actions autonomously or semi-autonomously. For many people who have heard about the term” robots” but does not clearly know about it , let me tell you that its predicted in 2025 there robotics industry will reach a global value of $87 billion, this is because many business have already implemented using robotics in their business. Also as research from Loup Ventures research, the industrial robotics market is expected to grow by 175% over the next decade. What does this mean ? This means for marketers they have to get ready to use robotics to deliver their message , for business they have to get ready to implement robots in order to attract more services , as research shown that 38% customer think robots will increase customer service and 72% of business leaders believe robots will benefits business.

Robot growth

The robot is used more than we expected as an example of Chinas Haidilao opened the first restaurant with fully robots run kitchen. The implementation was really successful as it attract lots of customers, at the same time the decision helped Haidilao saved lots of money as robots can work 24 hours and complete task faster. The robotic restaurant have helped boosting Haidilao’s worldwide total to 466, helped push the company’s revenue up 59.5% year-on-year to 16.97 billion yuan ($2.52 billion) for the year ended Dec. 31, 2018. Net profit attributable to owners of the company surged 60.1% to 1.65 billion yuan. As robots can increase customer service and reduce workers wages , also increasing the productivity of the restaurant which generally helps the business to earn more profits.

First robotic kitchen in the world

In conclusion the benefits of robotics for companies are:

  • Reduction in Company Costs(For many companies, using robots will cut costs of human labor)
  • Quality and Accuracy(It’s simple: the possibility of human error is removed when humans aren’t performing jobs)
  • Robotic Automation for Companies Creates Uninterrupted Workflow(It means that automation unleashes the possibility of 24/7 production)
  •  Improved Experience for Customers(Faster production times and improved quality in products means happier customers)
  • Robots Can Perform Complex Tasks(This will remove the need to locate and hire specialized employees. It will also ensure that difficult and complicated tasks are performed without error)

So the question comes to do you think robotics will influence on employment rate ? How and why? Do you look forward to the robotic future? please give some opinion.

  1. Robots is definitely the future in the next coming 10 years or so and I do believe that it will impact on our employment rate. The reasons for this is because the robot can perform a task that is way complex and risky (such as transporting a reinforced concrete)than a human does. An example would be the constructing industry, according to Safe Work Australia there’s a total number of 182 fatalities in 2016. With the wide use of the robot, it may save these number of people from a life taking incident. However, in some industry, I don’t think a robot could fully replace human such as the culinary industry which requires a precise sensation of taste. Here is a link to how a robot could replace constructing industry, feel free to check it out. • I do agree with you. Robots may be really useful, especially when we’re talking about jobs that requires high detail approach. But, it can also decrease the rate of employability of a country if we kept using it. It could also make us more lazy, as they can be done without us having to get off the bed. In my personal opinion, it would be better if we limit the use of the robot in the future, in order not to decrease the rate of employability drastically, and simply to get us move our body from the cozy bed.

      • Thanks for reading ! I have read the link you suggested , those 11 ideas are so true and i think it will happen one day . As you said it will decrease employability , it will happen when robots over take human , i personally think its hard to control the amount of robots . Its basically same with business using social media now , you cant control them by forcing them to put less ads and not disturb you . So when businesses realise robots can make lots of money , they will all be using robots this can not be prevented. Unless the government release policy saying each organisation only can purchase a specific amount !
