Step 1 – Create Mobile Buyer personas

Understanding your audience is the first step to any marketing strategy, so by creating a profile that describes each one’s background , job description, main sources of information, goals, challenges, preferred type of content, objections and role in the purchase process. It is easier to determine a channel and voice for your marketing messages when you have a clear picture of your target audience.

The key to defining any effective strategy is to first decide what success looks like by choosing the correct pathway.Get the ket stakeholders together to map your mobile marketing strategy by thinking what are we currently doing for mobile? If we are ready to do mobile marketing how are those initiatives performing? What are your main objectives for including mobile marketing in your overall strategy?Who is the key audience and how are we going to engage with them ?

Step 3 – Establish KPIs(key performance indicator)

Mobile marketing is just like other marketing strategy its required to test and optimised . Determine which realistic, measurable KPIs define your mobile campaign’s success. To identify and chose the correct KPI we are required to ask ourself do we want to increase conversion from email messages? Am i trying to improve traffic to sales pages? Do we need to improve sales by converting more traffic on certain pages?

Step 4 – Monitor Mobile Metrics

By using monitors like google analytics which can help to monitor mobile usage of your site:

  1. Very interest topic on mobile marketing, great job fan. I do find that mobile marketing is an effective marketing tool because you can track your performance/return over time which is definitely more efficient than other tools. Another thing about mobile marketing is that it is simultaneous. What that means is that you might advertise your products while the customer is using their phone instead of the traditional method such as post where the content may already be outdated or irrelevant.

  2. Mobile marketing are used due to their efficiency. Nowadays, people are using smartphones, and getting information over the analytics using your phone is surely a hassle-free job. It can also be updated daily and quick, enabling marketers to be able to promote in a much faster way. However, sometimes mobile marketing isn’t that efficient, as some promotion emails ends up in the junk mail. How do you think mobile marketers handle this issue?

    • I think marketer should have a appropriate title and subjects , this allows the mail system to believe its not a junk mail . They can even put videos in the email which can increase the click rate for mails.
